By our standard, we offer a traditional Japanese style service, doing everything we can to make our customers feel at home. On arrival our guests are treated with warm welcomes and Japanese greetings; even for non Japanese speakers we can assure everyone understands that these greetings are nothing but good gesture and are applied for authenticity. As we guide our guests towards their seats they are then welcomed again by groups of waiters- bowing; all at once, or at least once they have noticed the presence of new customers. We use several Japanese phrases which are echoed throughout the restaurant amongst sounds of the open plan kitchen and sizzling grills, creating an ambience like no other. Established in 2014.

We have seven different poboy’s on our menu and have a Full Bar monday Through Friday! Established in 1985. Darrell’s originally opened as a bar for Darrell and his friends to have a place to hang out after a long day of work. One super bowl Darrell’s wife Susie made poboys for everyone and they enjoyed them so they decided to start making them full time. 30 years later and Darrell’s is still staying strong! Darrell’s has been voted number one poboys in town for twenty-one years in a row since the local paper “Lagniappe” started!
Specialties: Johnson’s Boucanière is a indoor/outdoor dining restaurant and a specialty meats store, using recipes from the world-famous Johnson’s Grocery which was located in Eunice, Louisiana. We are located in the heart of downtown Lafayette and we make our own Smoked Sausages, Tasso, Seasonings, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken and BBQ sauce. Established in 1937. The recipes used at Johnson’s Boucanière come from the world-famous Johnson’s Grocery, which was located in Eunice, Louisiana and was also the first business to sell boudin commercially. Johnson’s Grocery was a neighborhood grocery store that closed in 2005. Johnson’s Boucanière opened in 2008 and is focused on continuing their tradition of providing Acadiana with the same smoked meats, boudin, and family like atmosphere.
