About Canvas & Cream

Specialties: Canvas & Cream is a thriving urban sanctuary built on the humble philosophy of bringing people together to enjoy fresh, wholesome food and to be inclusive and encourage creativity and expression, through art, food and living well.

Effortlessly blending the simple quirky charm, our eatery is an all-in-one café, bar, restaurant and event hub with garden.

Canvas & Cream opened in 2012 and from the outset it has been a community venture. With no electricity, walls, or plumbing, it was in need of a little TLC. It soon became loved for its legendary brunch, breakfast and lunch where locals and travellers, families and friends, continue to be welcomed.

Local people were enlisted to help find the items needed for the restaurant and the Forest Hill community responded with fridges, cookers, doors… you name it, it was donated. The whole of Canvas & Cream was built in this fashion.

Over the years, The grounds has become known and loved for the beautiful, immersive experiences that we create for guests to explore.
