How do I search for restaurants?

Use the search bar at the top of any page. You can search by restaurant name or cuisine (e.g., "Savera", "Indian", "Pizza") and location (e.g., "Nottingham", "London", or use "Use My Location" for nearby results). On the search results page, you can further refine results using the filters for cuisine type, opening hours, and more.

How do I leave a review?

Find the restaurant you want to review using the search bar, then click on the restaurant's listing to open its full profile. Scroll down to the Reviews section and use the review form to share your experience. You will need to be logged in to your free DineSpotter account to submit a review.

Can I save my favourite restaurants?

Yes. Once logged in, click the heart icon on any restaurant card or listing page to save it to your favourites. You can find all your saved restaurants in your account dashboard at any time.

How do I report an incorrect listing or review?

If you spot incorrect information (wrong address, outdated hours, etc.) or a review that violates our guidelines, email us at info@dinespotter.co.uk with the restaurant name, what's incorrect, and (if possible) a screenshot or link. Our team reviews and updates listings within 48 hours.

Is DineSpotter free to use?

Yes, completely. DineSpotter is 100% free for diners — search restaurants, read reviews, save favourites, and leave your own reviews without paying anything. Restaurants can also list their business for free.

Is DineSpotter mobile-friendly?

Yes. DineSpotter is fully responsive and works great on mobile phones, tablets, and desktops. You can also install it as an app on your phone — open the site in your browser, tap the menu, and choose "Add to Home Screen" for quick access.

How do I claim or update my business listing?

Go to our Claim Your Business page, search for your restaurant name, then click "Claim This Business" and complete the verification form with your business email or phone. Once verified, you'll get access to your owner dashboard where you can update your profile, photos, opening hours, and contact details. Claiming is 100% free.

Is claiming my listing free?

Yes. Claiming your basic business listing on DineSpotter is completely free. You can secure your page, verify your business identity, and update essential contact details at zero cost. No hidden charges, no credit card required.

How long does verification take?

Our team reviews claim submissions within 24 to 48 hours. We manually check every submission against official public records to maintain platform authenticity and protect genuine business owners. You'll receive an email once your claim is approved.

Can I update my information anytime?

Absolutely. Once your listing is claimed and verified, you get full access to an intuitive owner dashboard where you can change opening hours, update your address, refresh your description, and manage photos 24/7 — with changes going live on the site instantly.

Can I add menus and photos?

Yes. Claimed listings unlock the ability to build structured digital menus, specify item pricing, highlight house specials, and upload high-resolution photo galleries showcasing your food, venue interior, and team.

What happens if my restaurant is already listed?

If your business is already listed, it means our community or directory indexed it automatically. To manage it, go to the Claim Your Business page, search for your restaurant, and click "Claim This Business" to start the verification process and transfer administrator rights to your account.

Why was my review removed?

Reviews may be removed if they contain abusive or offensive language, are spam or promotional content, are not based on a genuine dining experience, or violate our Community Guidelines. If you believe your review was removed in error, please email info@dinespotter.co.uk.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password". Enter your email address and follow the instructions in the reset email to set a new password. If you don't receive the email within 5 minutes, check your spam folder. Still no luck? Email us at info@dinespotter.co.uk.

The website isn't loading properly. What should I do?

Try these steps in order: 1) Hard refresh — press Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac). 2) Clear your browser cache in Settings. 3) Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). 4) Check your internet connection. If the issue persists, email info@dinespotter.co.uk with a description of the problem and your device/browser.
